This is an American made hickory handle made for the hewing axe. The eye of the axe is offset from the handle to facilitate making a log square. These axe handles have been hand-picked by our talented axe swinging staff to ensure quality, however, they are not picked or sorted for grain orientation. They are however free of knots, cracks, and obvious structural damage!

If you really want to add some character to your new hang pick up a walnut wedge!
You can also grab an extra poplar wedge if you want to!
Every handle comes with the proper wedge!
